Joon Soo Han received his M.S. in chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Chang Hwan Kim in 1991 at Yonsei University, Seoul. In the same year he joined Il Nam Jung's group at Korea Institute of Science and Technology, where he is currently a Senior Researcher of Center for Materials Architecturing, and continuing his work in silicon chemistry. In 2002, he received his Ph.D. in polymer chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Jung-Il Jin at Korea University in Seoul. From 2008 to 2009, he was a Visiting Research Fellow in the laboratories of Prof. Norihiro Tokitoh at Kyoto University, Japan. His main research interests include synthetic, structural, and mechanistic investigations in silicon and silica chemistry.
